There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Last night I went to a film viewing at a small (very rustic) bar off of Rama 4 Road by the freeway intersection called Rain Dogs. The address is 16 Soi Phraya Phiren, which is most easily accessible via Soi Nahm Duplee from Rama 4 Road. They just started a weekly documentary film night on Tuesday's and last night (the first night) they showed two short documentary films, one about Annie Leibovitz and one about Sebastian Salgado. Both were very interesting. They plan to continue showing documentaries every Tuesday for a while about photographers and it is free to all. Tel # is 081.720.6989

The location map is posted below and the guy who is organizing it is named Boaz Zippor. You can email him at boaz@boazzippor.net

Marc--thanks for posting this, sounds great--documentaries are often my favorite type film. I have a few books by Salgado and his stuff is really good.
