There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

In case anyone has missed the huge ads on buses and billboards... the Photo Fair 2007 is coming up this weekend.
Definitely a good source of information for anyone located in BKK.

Did anyone end up going to this? I went in 2005 and met a couple nice people but in general it was a disaster as it was planned in conjunction with a graduation ceremony and that means tight security and inconveniences. If you have nothing to do its a great deal, plenty of models running around, a few things like that but I have no plans to ever go to another one in Thailand, at least not for now.

I did attend one technology show at Bitec and it was fantastic with an abundance of subject matter, robots, huge machines, welding, and other very unusual things to look at for expats.

I went there. It looked like total chaos and sounded like five or more discotheques. Once inside, it was much better. It still looked chaotic, but it only sounded like four discotheques   Cheesy

All the cameras were there though, and I was even able to touch one or two. Two sales reps (Nikon and Olympus) promised to call me when their cameras (D3 and E-3) were in stock, but they forgot to tell me what year.

Many pretty girls though, but not as many as at the car exhibitions. I think I'll go for those in the future (the girls, not the cars)    Grin

Pretty much my conclusions too. The weird thing is I have never been responded to by any vendor at any trade show I attended in Thailand with a call back, it seems they collect business cards only to show their bosses they talked to people, weird. The auto shows and a few others are fantastic for imagery, and yea many beautiful girls.
