I was looking around for a the above item, but couldn't find one anywhere in Thailand. Anyone have any suggestions?

Hard, maybe impossible, to find. The Tamron pro-version is the same converter (or so I've been told), and can be found several places. Easiest for Nikon, since Niks Thailand is the distributor, but S.P. Camera on the 4th floor at MBK (at the corner near the "market" at the south end) usually has Canon as well as Nikon mount. Price around THB 6,000.

Be sure to get the version in red/white box. The green/white is the cheap version.

I was really lucky and found one on the street  near Pirom Plaza a few years back. Later on I didn't need it and sold it on eBay. So you may look there and see if anyone has one listed.
