There are some photographers who are just pressing a button. And then there are the others who see the world in a very different way...

Anyone know of dealers or shops in Bangkok that carry the following:
a) Tripods - Gitzo
b) Ballheads - Markins, Kirk, RRS or Arca
Cheers

Paul--
I bought my Gitzo tripods some years back when living in the USA, and bought a RRS ball head last summer on a visit back there. BTW, the RRS stuff ball head is every bit as good as the reviews indicated. I showed it to a friend with a Kirk ball head and he agreed that it is a superior product. RRS products are not cheap but are very fine quality.

I can only echo David’s comment about the quality of RSS. The story I know is that the owner was an avid photographer who got tired of buying photo equipment that turned out to be less than desirable; so he started to build his own- Really Right Stuff.
I don’t have the ballhead, but I use the flash arms and plates and they are as David says; not cheap but of very fine quality.
